Pocketheat Overheats Your iPhone, Warms Your Chilly Hands

Are you too cool for gloves? Even those fingerless ones that only hipsters (and the homeless) wear? If you answered yes, then surely you also own an iPhone -- the ultimate barometer of anybody's coolness these days. So just how does one remain both hip and warm this winter? With a new application called Pocketheat, of course. According to Gizmodo, the app uses 100-percent of the device's processing power to heat up its components, and thus, your hands. On the screen, there's a knob that you can slide from a low to a high setting, and coils that glow orange when it warms up. Don't expect to heat your apartment with an iPhone after downloading this application. But it costs just $0.99, and according to some reviews on the product page, it does provide a pleasant (but brief) warmth in your palm. [From: Gizmodo, via: Ubergizmo]
