Despite what our audience might believe, we don't lead glamorous lives. So when we get invited to Vegas's over-the-top Venetian Hotel to catch glimpses of the gadgets and gizmos that will define 2010, we get pretty excited. CES Unveiled isn't just hard drives and Bluetooth headsets (though there's plenty of that), but it's also visionary objects that hint at the future of developing technologies -- a glimpse of what's next in gaming, communication, and lifestyle.
While CES proper hasn't started, exclusive press events and announcements get our hearts racing, and as soon as we get the scoop, we pass our findings on to you. Here are our picks for the products and gear we encountered at the inaugural event, CES Unveiled.

For $20 they could sell an alarm clock that you plug an existing lamp into, that performs the same function.
