A Sneak Peek at 'Toy Story 3,' Blu-rays to Get Bigger?

Highlights from this morning's other big tech headlines...
- 'Toy Story 3' promises to be one of 2010's big-time summer blockbusters, and ABC has a first look. While some CGI films appear video-gamey and blocky, this latest installment in the franchise that launched Pixar looks animatedly awesome. [From: IGN]
- It may just sound like some tech mumbo-jumbo, but thanks to the Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimation evaluation index, or i-MLSE, Sony and Panasonic are hoping to increase the storage capacity of Blu-ray discs. With the advanced new tech, discs could hold as much as 33.4GB per layer, as opposed to the previous 25GB. [From: Engadget]
- Music streaming service Spotify, which is huge in Europe, still hasn't made its long awaited debut in the States. When it does, it could be a monumental arrival, since the company is reportedly in talks with Google to make the service available on Google's Nexus One Android phone. [From: Tech Crunch]
- James Cameron's 'Avatar' has remained the top box office draw for a third week in a row, and the movie has also eclipsed $1 billion in worldwide ticket sales, becoming only the fifth movie to accomplish the feat. The film has a chance of passing 'The Return of the King,' and therefore a chance of giving Cameron, who was also responsible for 'Titanic,' the two highest globally grossing films of all time. - Knowledge of the mysterious Apple Tablet e-reader has been based solely on hearsay and speculation, but instead of losing faith in the gadget, Wired is celebrating its ambiguity. The site will be giving away a Tablet -- if in fact they are ever marketed -- to the first lucky reader who can accurately guess the number of stories devoted to the still non-existent reader.
