I have bad news. The show is kind of amazing. It's everything you want, in one highly edited, totally processed, easily digestible form. It's like a diner grilled cheese.

Those who find it offensive are probably seeing some truths about themselves in the characters on TV. There are a bunch of Irish Americans that behave the same exact way but lack a vowel on the end of their last names. People need to take it for what it is...mindless entertainment. Nothing more. Nothing less. If you were expecting coming away from watching this with a higher understanding of quantum physics then you were sorely disappointed. If you expected to walk away shaking your head and giggling at the absurdity...then it delivered. Nobody I know behaves this way but it is defintely an accurate depiction of a select few that summer at the shore. It's the same thing in The Hamptons. Big deal...why would this offend anyone when there is some element of truth? Grow up people...quit being so politically correct and denying that people like the Jersey Shore people exist.
