Google Knows the Loneliest Number, Uncovering Shortened URLs

  • One of the big downsides of URL shorteners is that they obscure the destination link, which makes them great for e-mail and IM pranks, but probably not the safest form of communication. If you're using Firefox, grab the Verify extension to uncover where that shortened link is actually pointed. [From: Lifehacker]
