Retro Philco PC Perfect for 'Mad Men,' Sadly Just a Concept

Beautiful, Retro, Philco PC is Sadly Concept Only
Lets be fair. Normally when we say a computer is "sexy," what we really mean is "this doesn't quite make me wish I had dug my eyes out with a spoon in the '80s, following the debut of the IBM PC and the beige-box revolution." That's why we were stopped dead in our tracks when we laid eyes on the Philco PC concept from SchultzeWORKS.

This legitimately "sexy" design is inspired by the Philco Predictas TV line of the 1950s, but also borrows from typewriters and steampunk. The keyboard and mouse design might not be very practical, but they're certainly better looking than any other matching input set on the market. And of course there is no denying the allure of the bright orange and chrome of the PC and monitor combo.

Sadly the Philco PC is a concept only. Which is a real shame since we'd pay good money for a computer that looks like this. Maybe Dell or HP will hire these guys to design a new line of PCs. [From: Engadget and Yanko Design]
