Sleek New Google Phone, the 'Nexus One,' Gets Revealed
The much anticipated new Google Phone, dubbed the Nexus One, has been on the lips of just about everyone in the days leading up to its reported January release. Engadget has exclusive pics of the elusive device, and they seem to be similar to more dubious photos that had been circulating the Web previously. The device appears to be slimmer than the HTC myTouch, and comes with a dedicated volume rocker. As far as what operating system the phone is running, it looks similar to Android 2.0.1, but with a new 3-D look in the app tray and more variety in the home screens. At the bottom of the home screen is also a new icon that, when pressed, brings up a preview of all other home screen pages, similar to Expose on the Mac or Palm's webOS. And, of course, the photographed Nexus One is running on Wi-Fi, apparently with T-Mobile service.
Aside from all those nifty little features, the design of the phone looks pretty sleek and spartan -- only four touch sensitive buttons running across the front, along with a volume control along the side. Check out the full gallery of photos over at Engadget. [From: Engadget]
