Texthook Stroller Accessory Is a Sidewalk Disaster Waiting to Happen

While texting and driving is illegal, texting while pushing a stroller surprisingly isn't. Which is the only reason we can see something as frivolous -- and potentially dangerous -- as the Texthook getting approved.
Billed as the "dashboard for your mobile life," the Texthook, which straps onto the handlebar of a stroller and holds most smart phones, seems just about as practical as these 'Terminator'-inspired baby buggies. Sure, antsy child-bearing text addicts will probably see it as a safer way to message, but we're pretty ambivalent about an accessory that actually diverts attention away from your kid and could lead to all kinds of disastrous stroller mishaps.

"It's crazy," said 35-year-old mother Aniya Wolanska to the New York Daily News. "You should watch your kid. Not your phone." Our advice? Focus on the task at hand. That text can wait. Little Bobby will thank you -- with his life. [From: New York Daily News and Texthook, via: Foolish Gadgets]
