Burger King Launches Boorish Bikini-Fueled Web Site

The U.K. 'Burger King Presents... Singing in the Shower' Web site features a bikini-clad model who belts out popular tunes while cavorting in the shower. Viewers can actually vote on upcoming songs and bikinis, which, of course, feature predictable and lame double-entendres that incorporate words like "buns."
The campaign definitely seems to have been initiated by pubescent boys, as the site offers the childish tag-line of "Watch our shower babe shake her bits to the hits." Real classy, BK. Check out the site's current vid, as long as you meet the easily bypassed age-requirement, to see BK give new meaning to "treating women like a piece of meat." [From: Mashable]

Sexist food commercials have no place on TV, especially when children are watching. Burger King officials, including the CEO should be ashamed at what is being produced for the TV audience. What kind of message are you sending? You have a caractiture king who comes off as a homosexual in his manner of speech and actions, which is truly dispicable and disgusting. A king is robust, masculine, compassionate and understanding, with wisdom. Yours has none of the above. Now you have a female wiggling around in a bikini? A bimbo. Get real and leave the sexual content for the porn, which I see as a very poor, veiled attempt to grab the audience's interest through sexual innuendos. You don't see other food commercials being sexual, which yours is nothing but trash. Why should you do so? Why should the TV audience have a set of boobs in their face vying to get your attention? Get rid of your weak minded marketing personell ( they probably have too much time on their hands and are penis fixiated, i.e. playing with themselves at work),as they have nothing creative to come up with, and you, the CEO, have the mindset of a miscreant to let this happen. Why don't you people there expound on the quality and quantity and expediacy of your products. Very, Very, lame marketing. You want your marketing to soar? Be fresh and original, AND proud to serve your wares. You have nothing but snide remarks being bandied about in my circle of friends.

The whole "treating women as a piece of meat" complaint fad is ridiculous. That woman has no problem with what she's doing, and the only one being "exploited" is herself, by herself, by commission of BK. Take a martial arts class if you feel threatened by the entire male population because a few girls show them their bodies. Or stop being sexist against men! If men were as offended by some women having romantic, cute, sexless thoughts as some women were by men having sexual thoughts, there would be like, no such thing as straight people. Might not help them get too many more sales, but the idea itself sounds like a hit.

Everyone making a big deal about this needs to calm down. Get off your high horses and realize that if a company chooses to have attractive women advertise their product then that's their choice. Don't bother inviting me to your next protest either, I'll be waiting in line at BK for a Whopper.

I hear they have a Michael Jackson burger in England.
It has 50 year old meat between 6 year old buns.
