Zhu Zhu Pets May Pose Health Risk, Facebook Implementing Safety Board

Highlights from this morning's other big tech headlines....
- The robotic hamster Zhu Zhu Pets have been flying off the shelves as the holidays approach, but they may also start flying back to the distributors. The GoodGuide consumer group is claiming that the toys contain antimony, a health hazard which some scientists believe may cause cancer in humans. [From: The Huffington Post]
- Facebook members typically resist and criticize the site's frequent updates and changes, but the site is installing one new feature that shouldn't be met with any negative feedback. The social networking leader has announced a plan to form a Facebook Safety Advisory Board in order to fight against cyber-bullying and child predators. [From: Mashable]
- A Taiwanese Tauren Druid has allegedly completed 'World of Warcraft.' The gamer, known as "Little Gray," has accomplished all 986 of the game's "achievements." The player massacred almost 400,000 creatures, but the huge dork did manage to show some compassion by virtually hugging 11 other players (probably right before he plunged a cold blade into their hearts). - To honor the Web's 40th birthday, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) held a competition to determine the accuracy and speed of disseminating information through social networking sites. - The AT&T and Verizon 3G back-and-forth has gotten to the point where the ad campaign is basically an insulting affront to consumer intelligence. The childish argument is no longer confined to the ridiculous map battle either, as AT&T, with its latest Luke Wilson spot, is basically calling Verizon bumbling and inept. [From: Engadget]
