Google Introduces Real-Time Results Window to Search Page
In its never-ending quest for Web domination, Google has just introduced a real-time search function to a select few users. As detailed in the video below (after the break), the new feature responds to a search query by providing a window that displays constantly updated results. Search for "I-65 traffic," for instance, and watch as the updates of wrecks and bottlenecks pour forth.
At present, according to Mashable, the feature is only available to certain users (among whom some at Switched are not), but the service should find its way to search pages worldwide any day now. Even more intriguing, Google has announced that the service scours Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter pages, thereby providing real-time cataloging of real-time coverage. If that don't give you information whiplash (in real-time), we don't know what will.
