New 'Twoddler' Toy Lets Tiny Tykes Tweet

Babies -- think of them as the last frontier in the Twitterverse. After all, we've already got a tweeting beer tap and houseplants even have a voice on Twitter. So it's only natural that babies would be next in line to speak their minds 140 characters at a time, right?

According to Mashable, a team of Belgian researchers have integrated Twitter into a plastic Fisher Price-like toy, which allows toddlers to tweet till their little hearts are content. Dubbed 'Twoddler,' the invention sends predetermined text to a Twitter account based on how the toddler plays with the toy. For example, if little Billy continuously touches the picture of Mom on the toy, a tweet will be sent that reads something like "Billy misses Mommy and wants to play with her."

Much to our delight, the team from Hasselt University says there are no plans to release this device to the public. Come on, babies spend most of their times sleeping, eating, or crying (not a bad life, but a boring one). How interesting could these tweets possibly be? [From: Mashable]
