Who Needs a Prepaid Phone?

4. If you talk too much....
On the other hand, if you live on your cell, prepaid might still be worth investigating. Prepaid customers average nearly 2,000 voice minutes per month -- twice as much as those on traditional plans. And they pay less for the unlimited calling, all-inclusive programs, which range from $30-$60, depending on your feature needs. Boost's $50/month plan, for example, offers unlimited talk time (local and long distance), walkie-talkie, text messaging (including picture, audio and video), wireless Web, call waiting, voicemail and international texts are free to receive. That's a pretty sweet deal.

I recently switched from a contract phone through verizon to a prepaid plan with US Cellular. My bills with Verizon ranged from $130-$220 per month. That plan included 1300 minutes and unlimited texting. I now pay $68 per month for unlimited minutes and unlimited texting. This is quite a savings for me every month!

I am an authorized Pageplus dealer. Their best plan is $39.95 per month for UNLIMITED TALK AND TEXT and it comes with 20 MB of data. Yes, unlimited. It runs on the Verizon network so coverage is basically the best and of course it's nationwide. I'm quite surprised that they aren't mentioned on this post considering Pageplus is on top of the world right now.

Read your critic on the page phone....question is: where do you buy them? I want one for my granddaughter, price on the phone also, or can she use one she already owns? and just get the service thru it?
Many thanks, jo
