Walmart Begins Selling Caskets and Urns Online

Of course, planning your interment online is nothing new. Costco has long sold burial boxes, urns, pet urns, and funeral flower arrangements on its site. What's more, Costco even offers next-day delivery when you're really in a pinch. That said, can we compare the two retailers' funerary wares? Walmart allows you to pay for your casket over twelve months with no interest, while Costco's with-interest plan could, in this economy, put you in a financial hole along with an earthly one. Costco's price floor is a bit higher than Walmart's, but then again who couldn't justify paying a little extra for the blushing Kentucky Rose casket?
Although neither Walmart nor Costco are expected to make a dent in funeral homes' ledgers, Walmart's sheer customer base should cause any 'Six Feet Under'-style mom-and-pop undertaker to tremble. But questions still remain: where does one store a casket while still living? And why would anyone need expedited shipping, anyway? Isn't that why we have formaldehyde and fridges? Walmart has always offered things real people need to get by in life. They are not trying to corner anything...they are offering yet another item we all need at one point without trying to gouge people for it. I say it is about time! How many grieving people go into debt to make their last memory of a loved one bearable, most funeral homes take advantage of us!!!!

No walmart is trying to make one last dollar off of you. Think about it, only in death will you never go to Wal-mart again. They have found a way to get that one extra dollar from you, perhaps even after you die.

Walmart are GREED-HOUNDS. And they dont care they put others out of business. How could that be an American Company who care about people,no they care about your money and putting more in their fat pockets. Their motive is to own American's and keep on raising their prices as they knock out others. I HATE WALMART AND WHAT THEY STAND FOR,AND I WONDER WHY THEY ARE ABLE TO KEEP THE UNION'S OUT...MAYBE BECAUSE THEY ARE SO BIG THAT THEY PAY OFF WASHINGTON!!!!!!!
