What Would a World Without Internet Look Like?

Ever wonder what the Net-addicted masses would do if the Web suddenly disappeared? So has Cracked, which enlisted its readers in a contest to create Photoshopped images of what a world without the Internet might look like.
We don't want to ruin all the surprises, but highlights include: a theater full of people watching a live performance from an adorable cat; a resurrected Virgin Records taunting former file-sharers; a line around the block just to get into a porn shop; lastly, (our favorite) a student getting an "A" on a spelling and grammar quiz.
The winner, and recipient of the $50 prize, reimagines 'Rick Rolling' as the new flaming bag of dog poo with an illustration showing a TV cart playing the YouTube video rolled onto a porch and a mischievous child ringing the door bell.
Check out Cracked for the rest of the Photoshop hilarity. [From: Cracked]

The internet and cellphones have raped our minds and stolen our imaginations. We have been made dull, lifeless, and lethargic, and mentally crippled. Problems with attention and concentration on education and employment would go away if the internet died. This would be a good thing. Look at the world around you, just look out the window and see streets devoid of socializing. If everyone were to just wake up, log off their world of warcraft accounts, shut down their favorite porn sites, and unplug their computers, the internet would suffer a supernova implosion and would never again see the light of day. Research used to be done by books, for crying out loud!

I agree with la4te. I'm a web developer and even I cannot stand the internet anymore. It's become the epitome of evil actions and inept social behavior. Now they're coming out with products like the Amazon Kindle? WTF next? When we lose the ability to feel the paper between our fingers and smell the print between each page, is the day we lose the foundation of physical life.

Yes, I believe the internet has a lot of bad webscites like porn for example. But that doesn't means it's bad. Actually, many articles are very interesting, including this one. The internet is an inflow and outflow of knowledge for everyone that is interested.
