Federal Communications Commission Says There's a 'Looming Spectrum Crisis'

The FCC says it should, though, as it's not big enough to handle blossoming traffic, and might soon leave the increasing hordes of mobile users in a big, old dead spot.

Sony Announces New VAIO Laptops
Yesterday, Sony announced a pair of new laptop lines to join the VAIO brand, the first being the slinky but under-powered VAIO X. It starts at $1,299 but truthfully offers performance only slightly better than that of your average $399 netbook. The VAIO CW is chubbier, heavier, faster, and much cheaper -- starting at $799.

Samsung Moment Android Phone Coming to Sprint
Samsung's beautifully bright-screened Moment slider cell phone is headed to Sprint on November 1st. The Android-powered handset will cost $179 when it ships.
