Facebook Confirms Streamlined Homepage Layout

One of the most obvious differences in the page layout is the apparent absence of the default 'Publisher' box where you type your status, now replaced by an 'Update Status' button. So, the stalkers out there don't have to worry anymore about accidentally posting their ex's name as a status update instead of looking them up in the search bar.
The most significant change, the 'Top News' addition, seems a little confusing. Even though Facebook told the Next Web that it wants to "balance the most important and the most recent information," it isn't readily apparent how the social networking site plans to differentiate between "recent" and "top" stories. Particularly since the screen shot of the 'Top News' feed includes the mundane and not-so-newsworthy, "Oww! my nose hurtsssssss!"
The aesthetic changes do look great, though. Since they're still in testing mode and haven't been fully implemented yet, be on the lookout just in case you happen to be one of the relative few who have been luckily awarded that enviable first test drive. If you're seeing the changes, chime in on the comments below. [From: The Next Web]

Facebook needs to cool it with the updates, I didn't hear anyone complaining about Facebook's layout before the first redesign, and I don't hear anyone complaining now.

I wish they would get rid of that stupid Suggestion box and move Events up so I know when my friends' birthdays are coming up. >:[

Perhaps they should get this version to work right before they launch a new one!

Really? Facebook was at its best three years ago. It's really getting bad now.
But it's not that big a deal. It's kind of sad we're so concerned about a social networking site.
Human folly. Oh well.

It is time to stop with the changes!! We get news on the computer, the newspaper, the television and the radio. Facebook came along with something that is fun. But it is not satisfied with that. We finally found something that we can interact with our friends and families together and yet not in the same towns. We were enjoying it and now you want to ruin it all. Well, go ahead! I can get out of it as easy as I got into it. When you put news and hollywood into it, then you can have it back. Who cares who is pregnant? and who cares who cheated on who. we get all that stuff on the computer news. For me that is enough. I dare say a lot of people feel the same way. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
