Brits Ask Schwarzenegger to Shutter Prostitute Rating Web Site
Harriet Harman, minister for women and equality in Great Britain, has asked Schwarzenegger to shut down a California-based Web site called "Punternet," which allows users to rate and comment on prostitutes. Harman's beef apparently stems from the fact that there are "pages and pages of women for sale in London." Taking every opportunity, as most people do, to slip in a 'Terminator' joke, Harman argued that "it can't be too difficult for 'The Terminator' to terminate Punternet and that's what I am demanding that he does."
Prostitution, curiously enough, is not illegal in Britain, although peripheral activities like soliciting sex, using cards for advertising, and "kerb crawling" are punishable by law. The government has, though, made efforts to rein in human trafficking in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games, to be held in London, and will soon introduce a law making it illegal to use a prostitute controlled by a pimp.
No word yet from Schwarzenegger or U.S. Embassy officials, but we doubt this one ranks very high on Arnold's To Do List. He probably should take some action, since human trafficking and sexual exploitation, unlike his career, is no joke. Realistically, though, we're not sure shutting down the site would put much of a dent in the armor of Internet illegality (Craigslist, anyone?). Once he does that, the governor can get back to taking his political career where it was headed before this small controversy arose. [From: Reuters]

Bah, its a great site to make sure that customers don't get ripped off by ho's and their pimps. besides, we have a thing here (that we copied from the Brits) called FREEDOM OF THE PRESS and EXPRESSION. It's not Freedom of the Press and Expression you don't like.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that prostitution is LEGAL in England, and most of Europe. Ah, our enlightened brothers from across the pond get something that the moralistic hypocrites and prudes will never get here.

Tis a pity that "Horrible Harriet" has no concept of what Americans have in the First Amendment. Freedom of speech. Simply put, no agency of the Government may abridge a person's right to say what they think. Quite different from Horrid Harman's Formerly United Kingdom where people can be arrested and prosecuted and forced to pay massive damages for using "hurtful speech". And where there is punishment for "hurt feelings".

Well, with this liberal progressive thinking on the part of these nouveau left-wing politicians, we next are going to tax churches for the revenue so they can blow more, legalize marihuana and what else? and tax it, legalize prostitution for the same reasons. Actually the way it comes out we are taxing air and water now. When do we wise up , and drive these bandits out! Where are all the American voters? The symbol that comes to mind for this movement is a noosed rope.
