Twitter Valued at a Billion, Gmail Loses Service Yet Again

  • Last February, insiders assessed Twitter's monetary worth at $250 million. According to the New York Times, that value continues to escalate and has now eclipsed the $1 billion mark.   • In a move that will surely inspire some squirming over at the Yelp offices, Google announced yesterday that it plans to expand its Maps section to include Place Pages.   • The Yahoo! corporate fat-cats have caused another Flickr furor. Last month, members of the photo-sharing site expressed their outrage when an Obama photoshop was removed.
