"ydaleu...... Yes. But what do we learn from this? As bad as the Bush gang turned out to be, it was bound to be better than the alternatives -- Gore or Kerry" But there were other alternatives. For example, in 1992, 1996 & 2000 Pat Buchanan ran for president. He was against NAFTA, against unrestricted immigration, against unlimited abortion, and he was concerned about what he called, "The culture wars." The funny thing is, most Bush supporters are/were concerned about these very issues. They voted for Bush, look what they got: More jobs going over seas, more immigration from Mexico (Bush called the Minutemen, vigilantes), no restrictions on abortion, and a further decline in our culture. Remember when Rush Limbaugh made fun of Buchanan, prior to the 2000 election? But they love The Fat One in the "heartland." They remind me of that fraternity pledge in Animal House: Thank you, Sir, may I have another?
