Obama's Healthcare Facebook App, BlackBerry and Mac Together at Last?

Highlights from this morning's other big tech headlines....
- President Obama's administration, a team known for its Net savvy, has published a 'Reality Check' Facebook quiz, letting participants know how his planned health care reform will affect them. The app's comment section has already gotten ugly, with some supporting the plan and others somehow dubbing it both "socialist" and "fascist." (They are polar opposites, people.) [From: ReadWriteWeb]
- As evidenced by many of us at Switched, Mac users don't always use the iPhone. BlackBerry users with Apple computers will likely get BlackBerry Desktop Manager for their Macs come September 25th. The app will improve contacts, media, calendar and other data syncing. [From: Boy Genius Report, via TUAW]
- In an effort to rebrand itself, Yahoo! is launching a massive new campaign with the slogan "It's You!" (in the Yahoo! font) to promote its newly customizable search options. Too bad. We were gunning for "Yahoo! Yippee!" as the new catchphrase... [From: WallStreetJournal.com]
- Facebook Beacon, the cross-platform advertising program put forth by the social networking giant, is officially dead. Good riddance. Facebook Connect is much more useful, anyway. [From: Cnet, via Download Squad]

Actually idiot, socialism is a (flawed) economic system and fascism is a political (social) system. The two are not polar opposites and can and have existed together in the same government. What do you think a Nazi (a real Nazi and not a white supremacist) is? You are the reason no one respects liberals. You have not one clue about what you are talking about. Go do some research before you spew out more BS than a bull. You might actually earn some respect.

Definitely have a degree in poli sci. Fascism is state controlled EVERYTHING, equality for none, whereas socialism is state controlled EVERYTHING, equality for ALL., ie. the human-capital investment implying the individual is the great resource, put forth by a socialist founding mind Robert Owen. Nazis, of course, did not believe in any sort of equality across cultural boundaries. Goebbels himself stated nationalism (defining characteristic of fascism) is the privileging of the state above all, and socialism, in its traditional, in the Marxist-Engels sense of the word, is the obliteration of the state in favor of a network of communities, and the "government" as mere administrators overseeing a group on equal persons (composed of equally active members). The two are essentially, and historically, incompatible.
