MIT Students Rick Roll Boston, Windows 7 Install Takes a Full Day

Highlights from this morning's other big tech headlines...
  • A group of trickster MIT students scaled the campus's Great Dome, affixed seven musical notes to the exterior, and essentially 'Rick Roll-d' Boston. (The notes were the intro to the infamous song.) Never gets old, does it? [From: BuzzFeed]
  • A Microsoft software engineer has posted that the upgrade time to Windows 7 might take users, especially ones with a ton of data, up to a day to install. [From: Ars Technica]
  • Good news for Six Million Dollar Man Steve Austin. Brit scientists at The Institution of Engineers have said that the cost of a bionic man, including enhanced eyesight and a mechanical hand, has dropped to about $250,000. [From: DailyMail.co.uk]
  • Tenacious D has come up with its own rock-god-simulation game, "Brutal Legend," supposedly about a metalcore band that has an unfortunately teeny-bopper sound. To promote the game, Jack Black showed up in full tough-guy costume at the MTV Video Awards last night, complete with fake biceps and wielding a plastic axe (i.e., Danzig). [From: Joystiq]
  • Apple TV, the Cupertino company's under-advertised foray into the living room, dropped its 40GB model this morning. Fortunately, Apple also slashed $100 off the price of the 120GB version, which now costs $229. [From: Engadget]
