Suddenly, Earth-Friendly E-Readers Are Everywhere 4

Sony Reader Pocket
The new Pocket Edition from Sony has room for 350 books and enough battery life to last up to two weeks on a single charge. It eschews fancy features like 3G and Wi-Fi and instead aims for the value market with its $199 price tag. With only a 5-inch screen, the Pocket Edition is perfect for people who seem to think the Kindle is too big -- and who don't mind transferring their e-books via their PCs and a USB cord -- but those who find themselves squinting may want to hold out for our next entry.

I still like paperbacks, and what happens when the Kindle models become outmoded? We have so many old computers and other junk that gets thrown away so easily, I'm not that easily sold on the fact that this would be earth friendly. I can read my paperback, pass it on to a friend, etc.
If someone shows that the kindles, no matter what model, can be updated, so you don't have to throw them out for a newer model, I'll stick to my books.
