Parents Now Inescapable Thanks to Text-Nagging

According to the Washington Post, parents are increasingly using online grading systems, Facebook, and text messaging to not only keep tabs on their kids, but, more importantly, to constantly nag their progeny into submission. Tech-savvy mother Martha McGrath told the Post that she celebrates "the plethora of nagging options," and many other parents seems to agree with the sentiment.
Adults need to be careful of the nagging trend, though, since some seem to suffer from the delusion that texts don't come across quite as "naggy" as the spoken word does. Unceasing reminders and "update" requests are still annoying, even if they're typed. And, if adults are significantly concerned about texting during class, texting tendonitis, and texting addiction problems, maybe they shouldn't text their kids so much. (Ok, ok. Enough already. The basement will be clean before you get home from work, Mom. Geez.) [From: The Washington Post]

I love that my son will often ignore what I say directly to him but when I send him a text he can't help himself from reading it. So, I keep my nagging messages short and sweet so that he gets the message right away. He can delete the text but he can't say he didn't read it! Ha ha! I WIN!!!
