Danny DeVito Makes Late, Awkward Arrival to Twitter

Not long ago, when Twitter was still a Net nestling, giddy fans would flock to the micro-blogging site just to see if any new celebrity tweeters were providing voyeuristic glimpses into the exclusive, decadent, and lavish lifestyles of the world's wealthiest and most beautiful.

Now that the site is overpopulated with no-talent hacks, reality stars, and various D-listers, the arrival of celebrities elicits little more than a yawn. Arriving with absolutely no fanfare or hoopla, Danny DeVito made his inaugural tweet last week, and promptly announced to his 'hordes' of waiting followers that his "nuts are on fire." It looks like someone has been giving Mr. DeVito some lessons in micro-blogging.

It's unlikely that DeVito joined the social networking fray on a whim, particularly since the new season of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' debuts this month. If the Twitter experiment is merely a crass and blatant publicity move, it's certainly effective and funny. DeVito has already posted some bloopers from the show's upcoming season, and the clips looks just as uncomfortable, inappropriate, and hilarious as ever. [From: The Download Squad]
