Spock Actor Zach Quinto Wants to Save Arcades

Quinto appeared at the Video West Arcade in Glendale, California to schmooze with employees and gamers, playing the classic games himself. 'Save the Arcade' lets gamers play online games, their points going to their choice of one of four arcades. At the end of the contest, the arcade with the highest score gets $25,000 to cover costs.
While Quinto's efforts are nerdily charming, the comments on SciFiWire's site are revealing. It's not apathy or changing times that are hindering joystick jockeys, but rising prices and outdated, tired systems. Perhaps arcades should catch some of the 3-D fever that seems to have infected movies and TV. And maybe better ticket prizes, too. [From: SciFiWire]

Arcades are realyl fun. Racing, shooting, music games aren't the same with a console.
