As for saving on insurance premiums. Most insurers will give a new client/new business discount the first year. However, when your policy comes up for renewal, no doubt you will see an increase in your premium, especially if your policy is issued through "captured agent" that only writes policies for one specific insurance company. I usually request new quotes annually, especially on my homeowners and auto. About 30 days prior to these two policies renewing for another year.

Donovan

Comments on How to Lower Your Monthly Bills With Technology

I canceled aol on 8-7-09 and aol is still charging my credit card. My husband installed a simple antenna where we can pick up local news on our 42 inch Sony TV and weather channels, then use the DVD player to watch all the instant movies on Netflix we want. It costs $8.99 a month which not only includes thousands of movies but we can also receive movies on DVD one at a time by mail. We kept the internet service from Comcast and now are saving over $100 a month. Netflix also just announced they will be streaming movies to the Nintendo WII soon. Just take a look at Netflix's stock since many people are going that route making Comcast and other cable companies worry.

Alice
