Antonio Sabato Jr. Loves Women, Facebook, and iPhones

A handsome man searching for true love swims to shore, finding a beach with twelve anxious ladies hoping he will pick one to be his paramour. No, this isn't a soap opera episode; instead, it's the premise for the television hunk Antonio Sabato, Jr.'s new reality TV series, 'My Antonio.' Airing on VH1 on Sundays (and repeated throughout the week), the series has all the makings of classic drama: his ex-wife attempting to win him back, Playboy bunnies fighting for his attention, an idyllic island location. So before his quest for amor takes off, Switched wanted to ask him about a man's other love--the iPhone.
What gadgets do you always bring with you to the studio/set/work for down-time?

I always bring my iPhone with me everywhere.


What cell phone do you have right now and what do you love/hate about it?

I have an iPhone and I love almost everything about it. I love how text messages are saved in one long conversation. What I hate about it is the speed. I wish it would be faster, but these days everyone wishes all their gadgets were faster!


Who's the last person you sent a text message to and what was it about?

It was to my publicist about setting up a time to do a People Magazine interview.


Where do you go every time you get online?

AOL - I'm serious! And Facebook.


What annoys you most about your iPod, cell phone, or laptop?

The connection on the iPhone is a little annoying. I get a lot of lost calls. And the duration of the battery on my laptop doesn't last very long.


Name one thing you wish your iPod/cellphone/laptop could do that it doesn't do now?

I wish my iPod supported streaming video so I could see the person I'm talking to. But other than that, I think it pretty much does everything.


What upcoming gadget can you not wait to get your hands on?

I can't wait for the new iPhone. I hear it has the web-camming feature I just mentioned, with a camera on both sides.


You're stranded on a desert island: What gadget do you bring?

Can I invent one? A solar-powered machine that provides me with food and water.


What's the most-played song or artist on your iPod?

Definitely Akon. "Beautiful" is my favorite song.


What's the longest time you've ever spent playing a video game in one sitting and what game was it?

I spent about 12 or 13 hours once playing Tomb Raider on Playstation 2.


Mac or PC?

I'm a Mac! I'm done with PCs.


What's the most embarrassing or untrue thing anyone has ever said about you online?

I try not to look at what people say about me online because I don't want to see those untrue statements.


13) Do you have an HDTV? If so, what kind and how big is it? What's your favorite show to watch in HD?

I have 65-inch Sharp Limited Edition 1080 p. I love watching Formula 1 on Speed Channel.


iPhone or BlackBerry?

iPhone. There's nothing like it. It's really easy to use, and it's perfect for going on the internet and playing music. It's hard to go back to any other phone after you use the iPhone.


What's the most embarrassing place your cell phone has gone off?

During a movie premiere. I'm usually pretty good about turning it off though.
