'Ship Simulator Extremes' Video Game Redefines Digital Boating Fun

Oops. It appears as if we ran our 'Most Boring Video Games Ever' list a little too soon. According to Joystiq, Dutch game manufacturer VSTEP is preparing to release another follow up to its forgettable and little-known 'Ship Simulator 2006.' The new 'Ship Simulator Extremes' game claims to put you in the captain's seat for enthralling supertanker adventures, including evacuating "an island threatened by a volcanic disaster."
The game may appeal to hardcore mariner gamers (are there any?), or could possibly even be used as a training simulator for the Coast Guard or other maritime organizations. But, will everyday gamers actually purchase this? Maybe if the island evacuees are stranded, scantily clad swimsuit models. Otherwise, unless they incorporate some explosive and authentic 'World at War' inspired naval battles, this may be the most inappropriately titled game ever. [From: Joystiq]
