Same was said about sexism back in the day where game interfaces included an option to click and unclad a damsel (this was a battle game by the way). As I stated above, It's not about being politically correct or not offending anyone but that it promotes social segregation. And about the japanese making white males comment, I never said it was because of the makers themselves but the ruling idea, the trend if you will, that makes it even more interesting as we see the segregated party promoting the majority.

Apart from HL2 and a few other games, I've yet to see believable female characters. When it comes to race, even the remedy is tragicomical, in an attempt of (perhaps) positive discrimination, there are new faux roles created (such as the African American wise men (a la morgan freeman).
