Worst Rap Video Games Ever?

Activision plans to release 'DJ Hero' (the hip-hop answer to 'Guitar Hero') this October. Until then, rap loving gamers have a very limited selection of titles with which to fulfill their needs of fresh rhymes and thumping beats. As a painful reminder of rap's treacherous and horrible video game history, Street Level has assembled seven 'Stupid Rap Video Games.'
The list is overwhelmingly bad, and somewhat depressing, with obvious choices like the legendary 'Kris Kross: Make My Video' game, and the almost universally panned '50 Cent: Bulletproof.' One selection may upset some hardcore PlayStation devotees, though, as 'PaRappa the Rapper' was one of the first free titles bundled with the original PS in the mid '90s. And, who can forget the rap battle between PaRappa and MC King Kong Mushi? "O, Oh! O, Oh! Here comes the dude/And now he's running up and down/The street with the juice." Well, even though it was fun, maybe it was really, really stupid.
While there have certainly been some abysmal rap-related video games, two titles should receive mention for not totally sucking. 'True Crime: The Streets of LA' features a soundtrack that includes Snoop Dogg and Ice T, and it received mostly positive reviews. The awesome 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,' which is set in 1992, includes voice over work from Ice T, and also contains tracks from old school heavyweights Eric B. & Rakim, Gang Starr, Masta Ace, and Slick Rick.
The compilation does an excellent job addressing the horrid history of hip-hop related games, but Street Level omitted one notable, and unforgettably bad, title. 'Shaq Fu,' with its premise of a ninja Shaquille O'Neal preventing a world war, still stupefies long time gamers. But, even a terrible 'Shaq Fu' is better than the bubble gum pop games of Britney Spears and the Spice Girls. [From: Street Level]

How is True Crime and GTA "rap" related? hardly imo...just because they have rappers do the voice over or put a couple tracks in the game makes it rap related?

Have you even played San Andreas? Ice T's character has rap lyrics stolen from him. The guy who steals them becomes a star, so Ice has to get his notebook of lyrics back. Plays an important role in the game through several missions. That definitely qualifies as "rap-related." The entire soundtrack to the game is basically rap, hip-hop, and r & b. Quit hatin

DJ Hero isn't the hip hop answer to Guitar Hero, it just has some hip hop artists. I mean, the last time I checked, Beck and the Foo Fighters weren't exactly hip hop

Who ever wrote this article knows nothing about hip-hop or video games.

Depends on if you are saying worst as in the point of the game is to rap.
PaRappa the Rapper...sure, not hard core rap. But one of the most fun games you can pick up and have a blast at.
Def Jam Vendetta...one of the best fighting games overall. For its time, tons of characters, unique moves, great graphics, and a overall catchy soundtrack!
