Will 'Coder Girl' Take the Geek-Hop Movement Mainstream?

Finally, someone is addressing the lack of quality geek hip-hop. Dale Chase, a self proclaimed "beatmaker, and fledgling coder" has created a surprisingly high quality (surprising for the world of dork-rap) homage to female programmers, titled 'Coder Girl.'

Flush with appropriately nerdy lyrics, like "She's a certified A+/Yo, it's more than just technical lust," and dorkish double entendres, such as "Wanna get in where I fit in like a plug-in/True meaning of computer lovin'," the geek empowerment song should definitely appeal to the oft-neglected dork segment of the hip-hop nation.

While tech-junkies have had few rap role models to look up to, maybe 'Coder Girl' will inspire a new hip-hop trend involving a more technical, and cerebral, lyrical form. If you want to keep up with Chase's role in the fledgling geek-hop movement, he, of course, frequently tweets. [From: YouTube via urlesque]
