Bill Murray Challenges Jim Jarmusch to Epic Tweet-Off

Two new celebrities apparently joined the Twitter fray yesterday when Bill Murray decided to provoke director Jim Jarmusch into a Twitter race to 15,000 followers. Jarmusch, who directed Murray in 'Broken Flowers,' responded with, "You don't stand a chance." (Although, "You're a 'Dead Man'" might have been more appropriate if it weren't such a terribly lame joke.) The race may be a marathon if the two don't increase their twittering, as Jarmusch and Murray only have a combined 22 tweets since April.
As of now, the two are also stumbling out of the blocks, with Murray's 584 followers barely leading Jarmusch's 575. With both icons possessing devoted fan followings, though, those numbers should skyrocket soon. Murray announced that, so far, the prize hasn't been determined, but if the noted duffer Murray wins, it's a good bet his Twitter bounty will have something to do with golf. As long, of course, as it's the actual duo and not celebrity Twitter impersonators or account hackers. [From: Twitter]
