New Clutch Bag Helps Foil Paparazzi

New York University student Adam Harvey has designed a new bag with a very limited target audience, but the interested few might provide enough financial support to help make his creation a success.
The 'Anti-Paparazzi Clutch Bag,' as reported by Wired, employs an extremely bright LED light that is triggered by a light detector. When a paparazzo attempts to capture a candid of a celeb in a compromising situation, the LED is activated by the camera's flash and emits a piercing light. That responding light creates a glow on the photograph which purportedly blurs out the face (or the nether regions of young starlets getting out of cars) of the intended target.
While the bag may be a success with some camera shy celebs, other attention-starved media darlings don't want to avoid publicity to keep their names in the news. Harvey may have another audience, though, in reveling college students who don't necessarily want their spring break exploits captured on the Web for the world to see. Ecellent idea. I wonder if it works at all during the daytime though. That's when these peope need protection - when they are walking the dog, taking the kids to the park, etc - just trying to live their lives. I'm not one who believes just because your job is playing characters in movies or TV means you have to sacrifice every shred of privacy you have.
