Watching Twitter tonight has taught me one thing, Phillies fans are a bunch of whiny dicks. But it's ok, every tank needs a bottom feeder.
And I thought I wanted to hug Johan last week. I think I'm officially in love.
Listening to Ra, glance at the notes and there's @AliveRecords. Nice cover, Mr. Boissel! @TheGloryFires #magiccityjams http://t.co/uT0M77VJ

To all the parents and kids who think that children should have unlimited usage of a cell phone, think again. My son started failing his classes because he would rather text in class than pay attention. The school's zero tolerence for cell usage was a joke because the teachers didn't want to get involved. He was sending over 400 texts a day during school hours. His phone was taken away, so he went and stole one from Kmart and payed for the minutes. That was taken away too, so he went a got another one. It has become an addiction that the kids need to be weaned off of. It does affect their lives, and parents should supervise what is going on. So what if they hate you for it, you are their parents, not their friends. We all hated our parents at least once in our lives. Do we still do as adults, or were Mom and Dad right all along?

I am a father of 3. I do not believe there is a need for anyone under 15 to have a cell phone, so they can look cool with thier peers. If someone lives in a high crime area, and wishes to give thier child a phone, for emergency contact, it sould be limited on the time, on the phone. many phone plans offer limited time for second, or 3rd lines. texting times should also be limited to a childs "free" time, not on during class times, to cause children to 'play' on the phone vs. studying in class. I also see no need to allow texting after a set bed time. Bed time is to rest your body not play text games all night. these I feel are basic guidelines, that can be altered to fit different family schedules...Sam

im a 12 year old kid, I am responsible, i have my own phone, and i pay for it with the money i get from the paper route I do. I understand how some parents are really strict but you HAVE to let your kids have some level of freedom, do you want your kids to hate you? No, but if you are too strict they will and getting more strict after that is the worst thing you can do, I'll admit it, sometimes kids get it in their head that they are always right and their parents are wrong, this is usually because they are too strict, if you punish your kids too much it'll just make the problem worse. So punish but not too hard, let them have a phone, but get a plan with a limit on texting, and give them some freedom, and you'll both be happy
~lovelinkinpark PS. i really am 12 years old, almost thirteen

Please talk to your kids about cellphone safety. A 16 yr old girl was killed here. She was crossing the street with friends while she was texting and was hit by a car. It could have been prevented. Just very sad
