SMS SOS: Text-Messaging's All-Time Most Stupid Moments

TEXT IN THE WORKPLACE:
Waitress Loses Job, Wins Jackpot

The Text
When UK waitress Jane Price felt she'd been sexually harassed by her boss and his hands-on managerial style, she filed a complaint with the restaurant owner -- who happened to be her boss's brother. The owner later fired her via a text message that read, "I think it is best you don't come back to work. I did not like the way you conducted the situation."

The Turnabout
Price brought her case to the attention of authorities, who penalized the restaurant's technologically advanced pink slip policy by awarding her the equivalent of $120,000 in damages.
