We still get badges, but most of our new uniforms use patches sowed right onto the shirt anyway. We have badges for our wallets and for our dress uniform. That and because a real honest to goodness badge costs like $80 - $120 a pop. A patch cost $5. Wearing a real badge on a uniform, you can end up loosing it because its pinned on and a lot of people lose them.
