Alleged Sexual Predator Impersonates Police Using Geek Squad Badge
Best Buy's tech-help Geek Squad are letting their badges go to their head, says the Daily Record. New Jersey police arrested 25-year-old Jay Mora last week for impersonating a police officer and for sexual assault. Apparently, Mora was meeting an unidentified woman at a hotel to "engage in a sex-for-money transaction." Once in the room together, Mora identified himself as a police officer by using Geek Squad ID as proof.Police say that, believing his ruse, the woman agreed to participate in sexual acts in order to gain her freedom. Afterward, Mora allegedly refused to leave, so the woman managed to contact a relative who, in turn, alerted the real authorities. You know, the ones with badges that actually look authentic and don't have 'Geek Squad' emblazoned in orange and black.
While Geek Squad does have a history of turning in pedophiles and other pornography perps, the crew has also been plagued by its share of deviant sexual scandals. Maybe the company should reconsider its use of terms like "Special Agent" and "Deputy Field Marshal." It seems Mora (if he truly was a Geek Squad officer) and other "agents" are getting carried away with delusions of law enforcement grandeur. [From: The DailyRecord.com, via TheConsumerist.com]

Hence why most badges do not mean garbage now. All police, fire and EMS now have ID cards with your picture and anti-counterfeiting measures.
We still get badges, but most of our new uniforms use patches sowed right onto the shirt anyway. We have badges for our wallets and for our dress uniform. That and because a real honest to goodness badge costs like $80 - $120 a pop. A patch cost $5. Wearing a real badge on a uniform, you can end up loosing it because its pinned on and a lot of people lose them. Simple economics.

HOW is this guy a "sexual predator" ? He was meeting a prostitute. She ADVERTISED her services. Who's the "predator" here? If anyone, it's her! But really it is neither one. American law these days when it comes to sex crimes is completely off the wall. An 18 year old goes to jail for two years for touching his 17 1/2 year old girlfriend, and they call it child molestation - but about 99% of the guys out there did the same thing when they were 18. Your country is insane.

Hahahaha, while you're somewhat right on most points, Master Shake, I'd love to know what completely sane country you come from.
It isn't a matter of geography, human beings can be pretty fucked up, regardless of their home address.
