This artical is very misleading: First of all I bet none of the people here work IA so to say Mac is the cure well that's stupid, other systems like Ubuntu which are "PC" based systems were not infected by this Trojan. Second of all you did not have to wipe your computer there has been for a few years a program called Logic hijack now it's got a new name however it will show you the potential threats to your systems registry keys and allow you to wipe the program and then run an anti virus software to remove it. But the average user does not take the time to figure any of this stuff out.
Next with regards to Mac on Intel based systems your architecture is close to a normal PC yet they don't have security in place to prevent a lot of buffer over flow issues which is the fastest way to dump a Mac hench the reason why the DoD has not approved a MAC computer on the GIG network. And yes there are not many viruses out for Mac and that is because no Major business use Mac they all use Windows Unix or Linux platforms, mac has a pretty interface and cool buttons and that's really all mac is.. PS Bill Gates is the reason Mac is even a life since he has 150million dollars worth of shares to help Steve's return. MAC IS A PC and they have many viruses and software issues out the butt I have to to play with at work and the girls got one.. The only two sorry products from WIN are WIN ME and Vista!
