Most Cursed Video-Game Cover Athletes 9

The game: 'ESPN College Hoops 2K5'
The athlete: Josh Childress, guard/forward, Stanford University, drafted sixth overall by the Atlanta Hawks.
The promise: Childress played three seasons of college ball. He was named first-team All-American and Pac-10 player of the year during his junior season, after which he declared for the NBA draft.
The letdown: Childress struggled to play a starring role on a team that, quite frankly, was in desperate need of one. He never averaged more than 13-points-per-game.
Where is he now? In 2008, he signed a whopping $20 million contract to play with the Greek team Olympiacos Piraeus, where he averaged less than 10 points per game during his debut season. It looks like the grass is not really always greener.
