Most Cursed Video-Game Cover Athletes 4

The game: 'Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball,' released in 1991
The athlete: Roger Clemens, pitcher, University of Texas, debuted with the Boston Red Sox in 1984.
The promise: Clemens, a two-time All-American pitcher at the University of Texas, was said to be major-league ready. He delivered by becoming the first MLB pitcher to strike out 20 batters in a nine-inning game. During his career, he won seven Cy Young Awards.
The letdown: Clemens's stats and win/loss record were not the problem. His numbers are some of the best in MLB history. However, when news of alleged steroid use broke, Clemens's star faded. Many now say his numbers are inflated, and Clemens may never see the Hall of Fame. Lucky for Clemens, his namesake game was released far before controversy struck.
Where is he now? Clemens is retired and tries to lie low, which is probably a good idea. He is under a federal inquiry to determine if he lied when he testified under oath before a Congressional committee that he had never used steroids.
