Most Cursed Video-Game Cover Athletes 2

The game: 'NCAA Football 1998'
The athlete: Danny Wuerffel, Quarterback, University of Florida, drafted in 4th round by the New Orleans Saints.
The promise: Wuerffel won the Heisman Trophy and led the Gators to the national championship in 1996. His video game-worthy stats during that year (3,625 passing yards and 39 TDs) were unparalleled. He has been called the best QB ever to play in Gainesville.
The letdown: Like many QBs who played for coach Steve Spurrier, Wuerffel failed to deliver in the NFL. He spent six years in the league, playing on four teams, and threw more interceptions than touchdowns during his career.
Where is he now? After retiring, Wuerffel began working with Desire Street Ministries, a Christian organization that serves disadvantaged youth.
