Volkswagen Brings Wi-Fi to Routan Minivan with Autonet Mobile

Autonet Mobile's uconnect Web service will allow Routan passengers to connect their devices to a Wi-Fi network no matter where they are on the road. More than 600 dealerships will offer customers the chance to equip their new minivan with in-car Internet service, which is already offered to Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep owners. However, this marks the first time a Volkswagen vehicle will be equipped with mobile Wi-Fi, Volkswagen officials said in a press release.
Autonet Mobile is providing the service to minivan owners through a $29 monthly subscription, and the system will be installed by the dealer. Not a bad deal, if you ask us. Especially when you consider this could keep those road trips with the family from veering into Griswold territory.
