Montauk Monster Mystery Revealed, Maybe
Remember the Montauk Monster, that mysterious, mutant-looking creature that washed up on the shores of a Long Island beach resort and became a media frenzy? Well, apparently the whole thing was the result of a viking funeral for a dead raccoon. Turns out, a couple of young guys are claiming responsibility for the creature, and their story, told to blogger Drew Grant and reported by FOX News, makes their day at the beach look about as pleasant as a Saxon pillaging. New iPhone to Be Called 'iPhone Video,' Rumors Say
A soon-to-be-released update to AT&T's phone support Web site supposedly includes "iPhone Video" as a model choice in a drop-down menu for Apple phones. Does this mean the new iPhone expected to be released in the next few weeks will be called the iPhone Video? Although the spy shots of the menu could be easily faked, the name seems right up Apple's alley. We wouldn't be surprised if this rumor turned out to be true. [From: TUAW]

yeah, Linux is Unix for the masses, as in free.
But OSX, which i don't have, i will say is the Revenge of Unix.
It's the commercial consumer version of Unix supported by a gigantic media company (Apple) that is near universally seen as the most competent and powerful to use home operating system.
Windows, not so right now.
Windows 7, it's your turn.
Now if only OSXI would come out prepackaged with Apple Machines or for End User Installation only (which would proclude OEMs from making Apple Boxes but not End Users from installing it only in their machines. "Only this hardware list, only this "yeah yeah yeah, i got that, gimme!. i'm just not paying for OSX Hardware. That's what holds most of us back.
I'd pay them for the software.
