Comedians Making the Most of Twitter's 140-Character Tweet Limit

Okay, all you Twitter haters, to pique your interest in the microblogging site, and to bring a smile to your faces, Mashable has created an exhaustive list of over 80 comedians who provide tweeting hilarity. (We're not sure exactly how many, since the headline says 85 and the article itself says 90-plus. And we definitely aren't going to count them.) We've already praised the comedic twitterings of some on the list, like Rainn Wilson (Dwight on 'The Office') who recently offered: "Got my spleen pierced. Totally fierce tribal stud. Only gonna be appreciated by X-ray technicians, but still . . ."

With its 140-character limit on 'tweets,' Twitter is ideal for the comedic musings, short jokes, and one-liners that are the stand-up comedian's stock and trade.

Michael Ian Black, who earlier received recognition for his Twitter feud with LeVar Burton, made the list and also recently provided some bodily humor when he tweeted, "At the hospital for work. As long as I'm here, I might try to squeeze in a quick vasectomy." Other, perhaps previously overlooked, folks on the list definitely inspired a "Dang! Why haven't we been following them?" moment. Rob Huebel, of Human Giant, frequently contributes quality tweets, including: "Writing a break-up poem to give someone. Need a line that rhymes with 'you forgot to mention your transgender operation.'''

If those little tidbits didn't spur you to make a Twitter visit, there are at least 82 other comedian twitterers mentioned, so there should be something to appeal to almost anyone. Since that list is pretty daunting, though, we came up with a more manageable list of 10 additional Twitter comedians who can hopefully entertain even the most ardent anti-tweeters. [From: Mashable]
