As for your statement that this type of item should last past the date didn't apply to me. I had a repair the first year, and in year two the whole mother board went out. Since I could not locate the service ticket for the first repair, nor for that matter, could the repair company -- NO ONE would even talk to me at Samsung. It was going to cost me almost as much to fix it as to buy a new one. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AS LONG AS I LIVE. I check everything from cell phones, small electronics, to make sure I never get a SAMSUNG product. I would advise everyone likewise. I now am stuck with a tv in my basement that doesn't work. I don't feel like I should put this in a landfill so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

lgsx3

Comments on

Best Buy offers electronic recycling...Take it there. Also, not all Samsung products are bad. You just happened to get a lemon. It's that simple. I know, easy for me to say. I have 2 Samsung HDTVs...One of them I have had 5 years with only one repair after the second year. The other I have had for two years and no problems. I also have a samsung cell phone which has out lasted my iphone and blackberry put together.

So, to advise others on not to buy a particular product based on your lemon is not something anyone should consider. Yes, it's your opinion and you're allowed to make it, but you can't proclaim your unfortunate circumstance as something of an absolute.

filmmaiker2300
