Morning Xtra: Kevin Bacon's BlackBerry Swiped, 'Rock Band Unplugged'

Kevin Bacon's BlackBerry Stolen, Steven Spielberg to Be Prank Called

People get pickpocketed on the New York subway all the time, but it's a bit different when the victim is a big name celebrity and the item stolen is a BlackBerry, no doubt loaded up with celebrity contacts. According to the NY Post, this is what happened to Kevin Bacon last Thursday. Apparently, the star tried to run down the thief himself, but wasn't footloose enough... We'll be here all week. North Korea Launches Mobile Internet Service, South Korea Has No Comment
In addition to surface-to-air missiles and weak threats to the West, North Korea has launched a limited state Internet service for mobile phone users. In classic oppressive fashion, the service is limited to only state news and content selected by the government. Which is sure to be completely unbiased. Next year: Kim Jong Il on Twitter! 'Rock Band Unplugged' for Sony PSP Ships Today
Does 'Rock Band 2' keep you away from day-to-day human activities, such as doing laundry or buying groceries (or going to work)? Put down the controllers and get outside, but keep your rock fix in check with 'Rock Band Unplugged.' The latest game from Harmonix and MTV Games for the handheld Sony PSP allows you to control the guitar, drums, or vocals with just your tiny, dextrous fingers. Lucky you, it ships today.

Nokia Ovi Store for Apps Now Up Worldwide

Sockington the Cat is Not the New Garfield
Why should you care about a cat having a Twitter page? Because Sockington the cat has more than 500,000 followers and his owner (who has been sending out tweets in his kitty's name for the past two years) is claiming that Socks is the new Garfield. Whoa, there. Sure, a half-million people says a lot, but it definitely does not say "the new Garfield." Call us when you hit 5 million (and can scarf down an entire pan of lasagna in one gulp) and then we'll talk. [From: Daily Finance]

Demi Moore Is So Humble According to... Demi Moore
If a celebrity posts unflattering pictures to her Twitter page and justifies them by saying she is always looking for humility and a chance to laugh at herself, isn't this the opposite of humility? Demi Moore recently had some dental work done and was apparently toothless for a period of time. She took a few snaps of herself (sans incisor) and posted them on her Twitter feed, prompting gossip mags across the pond to wax on about how it's great that she
doesn't take herself too seriously. Groan. [From: The Daily Mail]

A Cheaper Wii On the Horizon?
What's this? After an April that saw significantly lower sales of the popular Nintendo Wii console, rumor has it that game retailer GameStop is pushing for a price reduction. Does this mean that we'll be seeing a cheaper Wii in the near future? BloggingStocks analyst Steven Mallas says don't count on it, but that still doesn't mean it isn't possible. For more info on the push to lower prices, hit up this here link. [From: BloggingStocks]
