There is a lot of value in companies' use of social media like twitter. 1. It is an extension of the brand. 2. It humanizes the company. 3. It allows the brand to participate in the groundswell of user generated word of mouth communication. 4. The brand can add value to customers. 5. The brand can listen, learn, improve and innovate based on insights gathered from involment in social media.
