'Obama Time Capsule' Book, Authored by You, Online

What is it, you say? Well, 'The Obama Time Capsule' is a $35 coffee table photo book, available through Amazon, that can be customized with images and words of your choosing. It's like some bastard love child of Web 2.0, grassroots politics, and those cheesy 'put-your-kid-in-a-story-book' carts at our local mall.
The 200-page book is filled with over 140 professionally shot photos, and includes essays from Colin Powell, Joe Klein, Arianna Huffington, and quite a few others. So why do we care about a politics book? After ordering it, you'll get an e-mail with a link to the book's Web site, where you can customize your copy. You can write the dedication, have your name listed as an author on the cover, and upload your own images to put in the book.
After you're finished, you hit "publish my book" and wait two to three weeks. In no time your personalized and sappy documentation of all things Obama will be at your door step.
Is this the future of book publishing? Will books become highly customizable and printable on demand? Or is this just another gimmick bound to be forgotten a few months from now? Our money is on the latter -- don't expect to see people swapping out 'Kurtz' for their name in 'Heart of Darkness' any time soon. But, man, that would be awesome. [From: USA Today]

At what point is all of this going to be popularly referred to as a "personality cult"?

Obama does not have a clue what he is doing and is leading our nation to bankruptcy and weakened defense. He has our CIA, FBI, and military personnel at an all time low, they feel he is lost and will not have their back, as well as Nancy Pelosi. He is doing nothing to aid Israel or Georgia. The fact is he is a pathethic person of rhetoric with no substance, Mr. Cheney took him to the wood shed this week. The sad part is most Americans still give him a high approval rating and can not see "The King as No Clothes". He needs to go back to Chicago, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Acorn, SEI, Reszko, and or Ayers. They are like Gepetto and his is like pinocchio on their string. His past and present actions will catch up to him soon. The question is what will be the state of our country then? He is a constitutional lawyer who does not know the Constitution? He wants to appoint a Supreme Court Justice who has "empathy"? What ever happened to wanting a Justice to uphold the Constitution.
Mr. Gingrich it is now your turn to take Mr. Obama to the shed before he destroys our once powerful and great nation.

Do all of you people that commented really thinking that Obama is seeking a profit from this book? This, my friends, is a free market capital society at its best. Our president is popular, people want to learn more and read more about him, people want to be part of the change that takes us away from the embarassment of the W. era. And so free market capitalists create products that will sell!
Kudos to them, and kudos to our President of the USA. Only the second time in my left I've ever wanted to buy a Presidential coffee book ... the first one was also regarding President Obama. This will be my second one.
And go on, keep encouraging Gingrich and Limbaugh and Cheney to keep up with their rhetoric ... guaranteeing the good guys another victory in 2012!
