'Porn Day' Prank Floods YouTube With Adult Videos
The videos were uploaded and attached to seemingly innocent search terms, like "Jonas Brothers." In order to get past YouTube's content filters, the filthy videos were prefaced with about 20-30 seconds of clean content, like a newscast or interview.
Google, which owns YouTube, was quick to pull the offending content, but it took hours for the videos and their offending thumbnails to disappear completely from search results.
According to Ars Technica, many of the pranksters also came from message boards at eBaum's World -- a site specializing in funny and viral videos -- but the site has disavowed any association with the prank.
YouTube is working diligently to erase all traces of Porn Day, but be careful what you (or your kids) search for over the next few days -- you might get an eyeful of something you would have rather not seen. [From: Ars Technica]
Are These Games Too Sexy?
While recent game titles have attracted media attention for nudity and sexual situations, risque role-playing games have existed since PC gaming first began. Early games, such as 'Sex Games' for the Commodore 64, demanded specific commands, such as "remove pants," and required specific sequential actions to achieve one's nefarious goals. Currently, a plethora of games with bawdy scenes have invaded, or graced, the gaming world and vary in degrees of lewdness. Here are a few significant titles with prevalent or graphic bawdiness:
'God of War I & II:'
Press the right buttons, and gently twirl the thumbstick, to see the climax of mini-games in both God of War I and II for PS2 and PSP
'Grand Theft Auto III (consoles)'
The infamous "don't come a knockin'" prostitute scenes created a stir when GTA 3 was originally released for PS2.
'Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude; Box Office or Bust' (for consoles):
These most recent incarnations continue to follow the exploits of love lorn Larry in versions for both PC and next gen consoles
'Leisure Suit Larry 3: Passionate in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals' (for PC)
Released in 1989 for PCs, this third installment of the groundbreaking franchise of risque role playing preceded GTA 4 by 20 years when the title character shows the full Larry in an infamous shower scene
'Mass Effect:'
The backlash from FoxNews greatly exaggerated the tame innuendo and implied relations between the two sapphic lovers in Xbox's Mass Effect.
'Playboy: The Mansion' (consoles):
Disappointingly demure, perhaps the highlight of this sojourn to the mansion is playing photographer in this release for PC, PS2 and Xbox
'Rapelay:'
Amazon removed listings for this disturbing, yet readily available in Japan, DVD-ROM in which the main character stalks and, to put it mildly, torments young girls.
'The Sims;' nude patch:
Denisons of young gamers were disappointed when learning that unblurred nudity in this game for PCs, consoles, and handhelds required downloading a censor patch
'Soul Calibur' (consoles):
The character Taki from the Soul Calibur franchise continues to titillate thousands of pubescent gamers in versions for every console.

They used key words that children and teens would search for, therefore they are guilty of child abuse. It's not funny, it's not cool: it's endangerment of a child and they should be put in jail filled with inmates who know what to do with child molesters.

Grow up. It's just sex. It's not abuse and no harm came to any kids from it unless there was something wrong with the kid to start with.

This wasn't the first time, and this "prank" was in no way "unexpected". 4chan was planning this for months and the only unexpected part was that SOME decided to start ahead of the date they usually plan for. It's not like their plans for such things are kept private. Youtube thinks it's a lot of work taking it all down now, it's not even their pre-planed date yet. As long as the user system for youtube remains unrestricted and flawed, it'll just keep happening. Youtube only requires a legit email address to post videos. Everyone on /b/ registers one email address per porn video they post, because they know posting multiple videos on one account gets them all removed at once when that account gets deleted. 4chan's /b/ is all about the power of anonymous, and anonymous is massive.

Learn to spell and use the English language properly if you want to make an educated sounding post. Your rant makes you sound like a moron.

I think people who intentionally spread viruses, porn etc online should be held accountable for what they do. I got a virus from youtube or facebook that destroyed all my software and almost my harddrive.........a puter i saved for since i am on disability. I ended up having to get another one and it cost me wayyy too much. I was finally able to have a new program put on the old one but it was a long hard journey. People who do this take away some of our only outlets in our home. They should face charges for damages and jail time if appropriate. And yes I have a new anti virus service.......as some of them arent any good.....so I say THROW THE BOOK AT THEM

Congratulations your are an idiot.

BAAAAWWWWW.
Seriously, it's just to prove that no one is safe from raids. They raided Google a few months ago and made the swastika the most searched term. This is basically the same thing. It's all just for the lulz.
PS: this is old news.
PPS: everyone who uploaded porn has more than one YouTube account and probably used a proxy. Banning the offending accounts won't do shit.

Prank??? Here's the "Thing"... If YouTube hadn't of decided to become the viewing police of the planet and had simply set up a section for adult material, or stopped pulling foot fetish videos, becasue the slightest peek at a female breast might be possible, then the "Prank" might still happen and Lassie might suddenly become a porn star, but I doubt it would happen very often, or in any large, obviously, protesting way... YouTube got what their censors asked for, to be screwed with for being Old Fuddy Duddies... Clip from the movie Cassablanca, views 1000... Hot for Words, in Her Tittie Sweaters and Short Shorts, 1000000... What the Hell do these people think people who use YouTube are watching??? Keeping porn out of the eyes of kids, or people who don't want to see it, is probably just as simple as setting up an "Adult" account code and Adult section...
But these prankesters aren't Funny!!! Funny is when they gave our School Libraian a Birthday Present and we switched the box.... One latex replica of John Homes, that had a strong vibrator and a spare set of batteries, now that's Funny!!! Forgive me, I'm stuck in my adolesence...
Wendi A. ChubbMay 26th 2009 10:40AM
We all like to have fun, but don't you have something better to do to occupy your time than sending porno to a site that kids can see that have no business seeing. I just can not believe how little people care and are careless. People today do not care who they hurt. People do not care about people anymore. This is a very sad world that we live in today. God is not happy with us.

LMAO!! Thats too funny!!
cdalealdenMay 26th 2009 12:20PM
There are people whom suggest that something suggestive might occur to these criminals once jailed fail to see just how corrupt that form of thinking truly is. It encourages the breaking of the law with the tacit approval of overlooking prison rape. And there is no guarantee that the pervert would not be a willing participant that enjoyed the moment. Why should such people have the opportunity to participate in any kind of sexual activity when they are the kind that promote sexual perversion? It is an unfortunate backhanded way of promoting behavior in jail that is both illigal and frowned upon outside of jails. It makes the mind of the person making suggestive suggestions just as defective as the perverts called "notorious mischief-makers".
